Post research idea for the ED with metastatic patients

I am thinking of attempting a reserach project starting in our ED and continuing through the hospitalization. I would like to target metastatic patients with early Palliative Care VS an control group without Palliative Care. I would be looking at goals of care and length of stay.
Can you give me any previous research done using this model? I have done a Lit Search but come up empty handed.

Hello,
Well, there was a piece in JAMA not too long ago that described a randomized trial of PC for pateints with advanced cancer. It was an outpatient intervention, but it might be a good read. Hope that helps, Kathleen Kerr, Senior Analyst, UCSF PCLC
