For any who are wondering how to navigate the CE waters … a word from Pam Mallory RN, MN, OCN, FPCN, ELNEC Project Director, American Association of Colleges of Nursing:
“If people attend a national ELNEC train-the-trainer course (provided through City of Hope and AACN), then they receive CE's from the CA State Board of Nursing. However, for trainers going back to their institutions to provide this education to their colleagues, they either need to submit the CE application/paperwork to their institution (IF they are a CE provider) or to their state Board of Nursing. Every State Board of Nursing is a CE provider.”
