I'm attempting to start a thesis for my masters degree. I have narrowed down my question to be: What effect does palliative care have on the chronic heart failure patient's quality of life? I am looking at either using the Edmonton System assessment scale, or the Minnesota Living with heart failure questionnaire. Does anyone have a hint as to which one I should go with?

Are you also familiar with the Seattle Heart Failure Model? It has a calculator as well. http://depts.washington.edu/shfm/

Thank you for the additional model information. With a quick look of it I don't think it captures the patient's quality of life aspect, but could possibly be used for something further. I'll have to look into it a bit more, but I still think I have to use one of the other scales to focus on their quality of life.
