As a board certified chaplain I encourage you to being the process of clinical pastoral education with the goal of board certificaiton. Many programs have extended untis of cpe which can be completed while working full time. To be taken seriously as a professional you must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and competencies that come along with the necessary training. I wish you well in your journey.
