Hi. Our team reviews death at team meeting each week, and there is time for folks to comment on each patient during the reflection. Part of the review is medically (M and M type) focused, but this method creates room for more sharing as needed. Sometimes emotions surface, stories are shared, and support is exchanged. This is a good method for our group in that we also seem reluctant to engage in "touchy-feely" things,
and more structured opportunities for sharing and /or discussion never seemed to quite work. Staff are also encouraged to attend memorial services,etc., which is seen as part of self care also.
