Hi Mark,

I am currently the Palliative Care Chaplain Fellow at the VA in Palo Alto. This is a wonderful opportunity to get the kind of experience you are describing, though it is not a 2nd year Residency. (I think one of the requirements is a couple of years experience after a Chaplain residency, and is for those who, like you, want to specialize in palliative care. )
