Post NP billing for outpatient palliative care visits
Author: POdumNP

I am a NP who is a salaried employee of a hospital. The hospital is developing a new Palliative Care Program and I will be the Palliative Care NP in the outpatient cancer center.

The hospital is having difficulty determining the best method of billing for my services. Since I am employed by the hospital, can my outpatient visits be billed by the hospital under Medicare Part B? Is there a better option? Thank you.
