Let's say I have a hospice patient in a SNF on routine level of care (custodial for purposes of SNF). Do we use SNF billing codes or Domiciliary (B&C) billing codes, or other?

How you bill in the nursing facility will depend on a couple of things: What your role is as a biller and who you are billing. You may even be in the role of attending for the ECF patient. I would encourage you to meet with a billing specialist in your area before you get to far along in the process. You bill the services based upon the facility that the patient is residing in. Billing the service to Part A or Part B depends upon the roll of the provider who is providing the service.
