You need to put the provider that saw the patient on the claim, whether it be the NP or the Physician. If it was the NP that saw the patient, Medicare will approve 85% of the normal allowed amount. If it was the physician, Medicare will approve 100% of the normal amount. Under both scenarios, medicare will reimburse you at 80% of either of those allowed amounts.
