I am new to Palliative Care as an NP. I am employed by the hospital. The finance department of my institution is telling me that I cannot bill for my professional services because I am a hospital employee. My collaborative agreement is with a physician who is not a hospital physician. Can someone provide me insight? How do I bill my services?

I believe that the Hospital can bill Medicare Part B for your services if they aren't getting reimbursed by Medicare for your salary under their cost report. The provider/group you are collaberating with cannot bill for your services since they do not employ you.
