Post Interpretive Guidelines for Medicare Regs

Are there intepretive guidelines for the Medicare General Inpatient Hospice Benefit? There seems to be discrepancies between how these regulations are followed by different hospice agencies...specifically around the requirement for acute symptom management. We would appreciate any guidance as there seems to be room for interpretation.

I would urge you to contact NHPCO for guidelines on interpretive guidelines.
