What is the best way to bill hospital inpt charges when, two physicians sharing the same speciality and TIN see a patient on the same day? One M.D. see's the pt in house in AM and has requested that a partner who is a Palliative Care specialist evaluate the patient and and enroll the patient into care. The Palliative Care MD is crendentialed with Medicare as Internal Medicine. Our claims are being denied as either duplicates or 1 visit per physician per day. Can we credential as Palliatve Care and could that be our problem?
