The location code is correct (13), the CPT codes are correct. Who doesn't have the NPI, your providers or the facility the patients are at?

It is the assisted living facilities that do not have NPIs. I've called a couple different ones and they say they are an exception and are not required to have NPIs.

The assisted living facilities where the patients reside say they are not required to have an NPI. Part B customer service says to use their license number in that field but they deny for issues pointing back to the place of service being incorrect.

(On the 1500, if you indicate POS of 13 it requires you to indicate the facility record. The NPI field withing the facility record is mandatory). Thanks for any help you may offer.
