I saw this older post and have a related f/u question. I was advised by Medicare enrollment back when the new speciality for hospice & palliative medicine came out that because our palliative team contains MDs along with NPs that our group could not use the new specialty...it was for physician-only groups. As a result, each MD in our PC group has kept either Family Medicine or Internal medicine as their primary specialty. Is this your same thought or findings? No problems yet but we are growing quickly and would like to be proactive in heading off problems before they surface. Thanks!
