Post 2 NP providers in Palliative Care
Author: jward10450

I have been the sole provider for palliative care in a community hospital. I am contracted to provide these services and my billing/coding and revenue is handled by the agency I work for and not funneled through the hospital billing service.

We are in the process of hiring another NP who will be employed by the hospital but we will work together in the program.

Can we cover for each other, can we share follow up patients? Ie,,, she see's the patient as a new consult and I do the follow up?

Any clarification you can provide would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks- Jennifer
