Post Nurse Practitioner Billing for Hospice

Have the potential to have a nurse practitioner working with our hospice. Would there be billing advantages to having her employed by an outside physician group vs. working as an employee of the hospice.

The way the NP practices would be guided by relevant state laws. Billing would be the same regardless of her employer. Expenses related to mal-practice, benefits, etc. would need to be managed by the employer. If she is employed by the physician group you could expect her revenue to go back to the group to off set their costs. A contract would be recommended.
