Post v66.7 code used every day?

I'm working as a palliative care physician consultant in a hospital. I've been using v66.7 to make sure to the billing folks that it's clear two generalists are billing different things. Should I include v66.7 everyday with billing or is the first visit enough?

V66.7 should never be used as a primary diagnosis for any provider's services. You should have a different diagnosis for billing than the other generalist, if you don't only one of you is going to get paid. As a PC provider you may be assisting the patient deal with pain and other symptoms relating to their disease/illness. Your diangosis billed should always match your documentation. I still reccomend that you include in your daily note that you are rendering Palliative Care. We have our providers head their notes Palliative Care Faculty/Attending.
