Post RVUs for program development

My director has asked for RVU estimate for our MD and NP positions. She needs the annual RVUs that can be expected from each. Can anyone give me a rough idea of where to start? I know that this is a determined in part by region and I looked in the CAPC Hospital guide but didn't see anything quite that specific. Any help at all is SO appreciated!

There are no accepted standards yet.
We would expect a full time MD to generate about 5300 wRVUS a year.
This is from MGMA and other documents that our med school and practice plan use.

We worked with our hospitalist group to help us compare the difference of RVU's for PC MD and a hospitalist. We came up with 2400 RVU's for an MD and 1600 RVU's for and NP knowing they may not do as many initial consults and may have more program responsibilites.

The MGMA RVU seems really high. Was MGMA a combination PC/hospitalist model and are there other interdisciplinary team members that can do more of the care coordination/follow up allowing more ooportunity for the PC clinicians to bill at a higher level for their visits?

I would be interested in dialoguing with others about this on a conference call.
